Our Teachers

Peggy Lupton, Owner Educator

I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1989 with a BS degree in education with a minor in reading. I have taught every age of learners from preschool through college. After spending multiple years specializing in special needs I decided to take a different direction and open up a preschool . For the last 10 years I have enjoyed spending my days with young learners watching them grow! I believe a well rounded hands on learning experience with provide a solid foundation for your child’s educational and emotional needs.

Philosophy

At our school, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

About our program

Bright Beginnings Learning Center is a professional facility that strives to provide a balance between a Reggio curriculum and our local school district curriculum. This unique program strives to provide a theme-center based environment that allows children to develop in a rich hands-on, safe and loving environment. We are a licensed, CPR and First Aide certified facility with licensed/certificated educators. Our ratio number is 8:1.

Our program consist of many activities that inspire little ones to grow and develop through learning activities. the clasroom is set up into different centers that are based on a certain theme. the students rotate through the following centers: music, art, writing/fine motor, gross motor, science, reading readiness, computer skills and foreign language (basic ASL & Spanish). We also value real life experiences through field trips and community participation. Our children also learn through open play during outdoor and indoor recess. Cooking and being active in the outdoor environment is also part of our curriculum: so be ready to be hands-on!
