Our Teachers

Twalla Newson, Owner and Operator

Hello! My name is Twalla Newson Edwards. I got married three years ago to my wonderful Husband and we have two beautiful children and one granddaughter, our sunshine. I knew in high school that I loved teaching children and I babysat after school for about 2 years. I became a child care provider in 2001 and the rest is history. I love teaching children and helping out single parents. I was a single parent once myself and know that everyone needs a support system. I love also being my own boss!

Philosophy

It is my belief that early education is the most vital part of a child’s education because it provides the foundation to which all other learning builds on. During this time, children are excited to learn from the world around them. They learn from the people around them, their environment and through observations of their own. Being able to learn and play in a safe nurturing environment with a caring adult is what I feel makes young children happy and excited to come to my daycare. Children are very perceptive and know quickly when they are in a safe, caring environment.
