Phyllis Wallace, Owner and Operator
In 2004 I started my home childcare knowing that I could make a difference in a child’s life. It was the Grace of God that brought this together, because he already had people waiting on me to open. Children are the reason why I want to continue my education to learn as much as I can to help my children grow. I have always loved children as far back as I can remember. Children have always been drawn to me. Where ever I am, a child will just come up to me from no where. I have always had a love and passion for children. My family has always encouraged me in everything I do.
I knew that children were a blessing and gift from God. Children are exciting and willing to learn. This is why I wanted to open my Home Center so, that I can teach the children Phonics and Explore life. Having my own center gives me the ability to help the children exceed in learning. My plan for the future is to open up a facility.
The things I’m interested in are: childcare, cooking, weddings, entertaining, floral arranging and rolling skating.

Testimonials
I just recently moved to Ellenwood from a totally different state with my 3 year old now 4 year old and stubbled across this daycare home down the street from my house,I was very hesitant at first with putting her in a daycare where I didnt know Anybody or really didnt know the people that would be watching her but when I walked in took a tour of the daycare center and After speaking to Mrs. Wallace (Who is the owner of the facility) I just knew my child would have a blast here and I instantly felt confident and comfortable with her attending . This center is beyond clean and the front door is always locked ,you cant come in unless they open it. Mrs. Wallace prepares filling yet healthy meals for their breakfast and lunch. They dont just watch the kids like some other daycares do; they even prepare them to start school. Overall which I feel is the most important you can feel the love they have for each child ,they really do care about the kids who attend . Im beyond grateful to have found this center. Now 3 months in my daughter already is asking to spend the night at her teachers houses and is sad when its time for me to pick her up. Which tells me as a parent there doing something right.
Philosophy
My father and mother used to read to my sister and I all the time. When we turned age 3 our parents started to teach us to read books to them. And sometime had us to write something about our experience about what we had read from the books. My belief is to “Train up a child in the way he/she should go: and when he/she is old, he/she will not depart from learning it”.
I had my first 4 children from the ages 6 weeks to 10 months old. It’s been a loving experience seeing the children come in as babies. Seeing them grow up from holding them in your arms, crawling, walking, talking and becoming the smartest, talented and gifted children has been a blessing to me. I love seeing their expressions and smiles on their faces when we’re reading, helping them say their names, ages, birthdays, alphabets and numbers. But, my favorite time with the children is when they wake up from their nap, they all come hugging and sitting in my lap on the floor. That’s our love time together everyday.
