Nesha Copeland, Director/Owner
Mrs. Copeland graduated from the University of American Military 2020 with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies. Mrs. Copeland has worked with kids since graduating high school. Mrs. Copeland worked at the YMCA for many years and also the Navy Child and Youth Programs in both Florida and Italy. Her true passion was always guiding and helping children gain insight. After working in childcare for many years, Mrs. Copeland is now opening her home to continue her passion. Mrs.Copeland believes that small class sizes will enhance children’s learning and develop strong scholars.

Philosophy
At Jax S.T.E.M Academy, we believe in providing a S.T.E.A.M education that integrates science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. Children are encouraged to inquire, engage in dialogue, and develop critical thinking skills through these five access points. Our focus is on incorporating the principles of science, engineering, and art into core academic areas. In our nurturing community, young explorers learn by doing, create through making, and collaborate to solve problems. Children naturally develop curiosity, social skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with peers, leading to a strong educational foundation in a small, effective setting. Join us to give your child the opportunity to excel with a S.T.E.A.M educational approach.

We are in Oceanway about 8-10 minutes away from the JAX International Airport.
About our program
Jax S.T.E.M Academy is an early learning S.T.E.A.M program. S.T.E.A.M education is an approach that uses science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. Children will be guided using those five access points to encourage student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Our focus is to actively incorporate the principles of science, engineering or art into core academic areas. Children will naturally be curious to learn, social skills will improve, collaborative thoughts with peers and so much more. Scholars will have an amazing foundation in a small setting, that is more effective than large classroom settings where it can be difficult for little scholars to excel. Give your child the opportunity to have a solid foundation with a S.T.E.A.M education.

Tour our program Come see what makes Jax Stem Academy unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start hosting tours again in the future.

Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.

Schedule Assessment Once the application has been reviewed we will schedule your scholar to be assessed .

Wait for your decision email (Same day as assessment.) Decisions will be sent via email.
