Our Teachers

Hello! I am Marcella Williams, the founder of Humble Beeginnings Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I love watching children grow, thrive, and develop.

I love being a part of the Green Valley Ranch community and I’ve spent my career working here. In fact, some of my former students are now parents themselves and have enrolled their kids in my program.

I have three children of my own, ages 4,7, and 14. My two eldest received care through my program, and my 4-year-old is currently in the program.

I have been working with children for over 20 years. I’ve earned 12 ECE units and various certifications including those for safe sleep and head trauma.

Testimonials

My 17 month-old daughter is currently attending Humble Beeginnings and it is the best thing that has happened to us. There is constant communication and an open-door policy. If I need anything I mean ANYTHING, she is just a text/phone call away. My daughter is receiving contact with other children close to her age and learning to share, which is especially important because she is an only child. I am also happy with the safe and fun environment my daughter gets to be in. I have no second thoughts when I drop her off, as the neighborhood and her surroundings are safe. I definitely recommend Humble Beeginnings to anyone looking to play their child in childcare.

Philosophy

At Humble Beeginnings Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by following their own unique style of discovery. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials that they can explore on their own. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

Our play-based approach allows children to follow their own curiosities. Their minds are wired for exploration and they are naturally fascinated by objects around them, so we’ve setup our space such that child can access the toys and materials that interest them. This type of play allows children to imagine and experience new situations of their own creation that they then learn from.

Location

Humble Beeginnings Wonderschool is located in a bright, welcoming and roomy single family home in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), and music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning).

Children will spend several hours a day outdoors in our home’s private backyard space. We believe that connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.

At Humble Beeginnings Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
