Stephanie Ramirez - Director and Head Teacher

Hello! I am Stephanie, the founder of Stephanie’s Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow.

I have 6years of experience working with young children. Before starting my own program, I was working in a childcare center in San Francisco.

I am also a mother myself, and know how important it is to find a trusting caregiver for one’s own children.

Philosophy

At Stephanie’s Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

My program follows a play-based philosophy. I believe that children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by exploring new experiences. My environment is responsive to the children in our care, and allows children’s own interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement.

Location

Stephanie’s Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, warm apartment in the Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood.

We’ve thoughtfully designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).

Our space is designed to provide a nurturing and enriching space for infants and toddlers.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
