Philosophy

At Lucesitas Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished. We believe in supporting the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child!

Location

Lucesitas Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, bright single family home in the Portola neighborhood of San Francisco, between San Bruno Avenue and Silver Avenue.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.
