Our Teachers
Hello my beautiful friends! My name is Khongorgunj Altandush. You can call me Wendy. I am from Mongolia. I am director of the “Daphne” home daycare. I am mother of 2 beautiful kids. I completed 16 units in early childhood education, took many lessons, and seminaries about parenting. I have a lot of experience working with children. I have worked daycare for few years and I was preschool assistant teacher for years too. I want to teach children what I have and what I learned. The greatest gift i can give to my children and my students is my time, my love and my attention. My relationship with education became stronger and I enjoy every moment.

Philosophy
I believe children learning through play. Play is one of the main ways in which children learn and develop. Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning. They can learn how to communicate with others,( language skills, speech, vocabulary ets.. ) develop cognitive, critical thinking, motor skills and develop their imagination through play. Also, play reduces stress too! And then I have curriculum plan for over 18 months old children. ( art, project etc.. )
Location
Daphne home daycare is located in a warm, inviting single family home near west of twin peaks neighborhood.
About our program
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), manipulative and art area (for fine motor skills and imagination), and outdoor area (for discovering nature )
The children spend about half the day outdoors in our private yard. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth. Going outside is the children’s favorite part of the day. And most important thing is we provide organic food, snack and home made food! We love to keep things as organic as possible by serving our little hands lots of fresh yummy organic veggies and fruits along with our meals all organic as well.
At Daphne home daycare, we want to provide a loving home away from home.
