About our program
Children’s Sunflower House & Garden in San Francisco, provides little ones and their families a true children’s community, where each child brings their own magic to share with our program. Every child and family is celebrated for their presence and contribution to our precious growing time.
Teacher Lin has given this program to San Francisco families for sixteen years. The entire ground level of her home is dedicated program space, which includes indoor and outdoor space with a well established garden designed as an outdoor learning environment. A spacious indoor classroom space is well lit with hardwood floors. The environment and all the resources available, allow the children to be free in a form that they can trust and understand.
Teacher Lin holds a four year degree and additional internships and continuing education and certifications. Dance, art, nutrition, nature, gardening and holistic child development are her passions.
Teacher Lin has created a seasonal curriculum that facilitates age appropriate lessons that include art, dance, singing, puppet plays and gardening activities.
Peer collaboration and modeling are strong aspects of learning in each program day. With mixed aged friends, each child learns to relate and collaborate with those that are older, younger, or their same age.
Kindness, grace, and diligence are traits our program holds dear.
