Our Teachers
Hello there! My name is Karina, and I started Angelitos de San Francisco Wonderschool in my own home. I have raised my 4 children, who are all now in elementary school and older, and worked with my mother in her own in-home child care program (in the same building where I live!) I spent 6 years working there, but am so excited to open my own program and be able to make decisions about curriculum, schedules, and get to know my own families!
Philosophy
My main objective is to contribute to the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of children. Creating for them an emotional-educational environment that allows them to fully develop.
My space is designed so that children’s own identities are strengthened and developed through games, making it so that they can relate to other children in this environment and thus be able to fully become themselves.
Additionally, our program will allow your child to develop a broad view of the world that surrounds them. One fundamental aspect is familiarization with the Spanish language - we want to best support young children’s acquisition of this language and encourage their interest in learning it.
Location
Our program is in a secure apartment building with a doorman just south of Market St. and near many offices, including Twitter, Square, Uber, Dolby, and more! We are conveniently located right off the 101 and near the Civic Center and Van Ness MUNI lines, Civic Center BART, and numerous bus lines.
Our apartment has a gated playground where children are able to spend time outdoors each day, and after enrolling you will be able to receive access to our elevator system.
About our program
We are all about helping kids learn about the world and themselves. Children are given a foundation for education and learning here!
Mealtime is great example of why childcare is such an exciting time for development. Children talk and communicate with each other, use their fingers for fine-motor skills, and learn how to take turns and show respect. We eat healthy foods that I prepare in my home so that kids can enjoy time together and with me!
Parents are able to stay in the loop about what we do. I send photos and videos to parents through my phone to help them see what we’re working on. I know it is important for you to see what we’re doing every day when we’re together.
