Our Teachers
Hello, my name is Jenniffer, and I am the director of First Steps with Jenny. My journey in childcare began three years ago when I graduated with teaching credentials while living in Salvador. Upon relocating to the United States, I decided to continue my passion for education. As I delved into the realm of childcare, I recognized a significant need in my community and seized the opportunity to establish my own program. What I find most rewarding about working with children is witnessing their development and growth firsthand. Observing my students flourish brings me immense joy and reinforces my dedication to this fulfilling role. I believe that these initial steps are crucial in each child’s development journey, and with my experience, I am committed to ensuring that every student and family reaches their goals.
Philosophy
At First Steps with Jenny, our philosophy revolves around fostering a nurturing environment where children can thrive through Spanish immersion and play-based learning. We believe that language acquisition is most effective when integrated into daily activities and experiences, allowing children to naturally absorb Spanish while engaging in play. Our approach emphasizes hands-on exploration, creativity, and social interaction, as we believe these elements are fundamental to a child’s holistic development. By creating a supportive and stimulating atmosphere, we aim to instill a lifelong love for learning and Spanish language proficiency in our young learners.

About our program
At First Steps with Jenny, our program stands out due to our unique blend of Spanish immersion with a play-based approach. We integrate a plethora of sensory activities aimed at nurturing emotional expression and teaching healthy coping mechanisms for stress. Operating as a family in-home program allows us to provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring they not only grow academically but also feel secure and at ease. Our ultimate goal is for our program to serve as a second home for our students, where they can thrive in a supportive and familiar environment.
