Our Teachers

Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’m the proud owner and provider behind our cozy in-home daycare. As a mom of two energetic and loving boys, I understand how important it is to find a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where your little ones can learn and grow. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have years of hands-on experience working with kids. My background has given me a strong foundation in early childhood development and age-appropriate curriculum planning. I also hold a degree in Communications, which helps me stay connected and responsive to both children and families.

Creating a space that feels like a second home is at the heart of what I do. I believe in learning through play, building strong relationships, and encouraging creativity, kindness, and independence in every child.

Thank you for considering my program — I look forward to welcoming your family!

Philosophy

At Wagon Wheel Wanderers, we believe childhood is a journey best taken with wonder, laughter, and a little bit of dirt on your boots. Our philosophy is rooted in the idea that learning happens naturally when children feel safe, loved, and free to explore the world around them.

We embrace play-based learning, hands-on discovery, and lots of outdoor time — from imaginative play in the yard with chickens to quiet moments with a story under a shady tree. Here, every child is encouraged to be curious, creative, and confident in their own unique way.

At Wagon Wheel Wanderers, we’re not just growing little minds — we’re nurturing kind hearts, wild imaginations, and lifelong friendships.

Location

Nestled in the heart of Woodcrest community, we have over an acre of beautifully landscaped land filled with beautiful gardens throughout. Different areas to hold and showcase our chicken flock for fresh eggs in the morning and a welcoming home and indoor backyard play area for a combination of indoor and outdoor play!
