Our Teachers

Ashley James, Director

Ashley graduated from the Merritt College earning her Associate of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent development. She continued her schooling and went on to San Francisco State University and earned her Bachelors degree in Early childhood Development with a minor in special education. Her journey with children began in high school when she worked as a recreational specialist for children with special needs. She then went on to be a teachers assistant and once she graduated she was able to get a job working as a lead teacher in a preschool classroom. After teaching in a classroom for three years she realized she wanted to have her own in home daycare. She is committed to forming relationships and building trust with children and their families. She believes that each child is unique and deserves an enriching environment where they can grow socially, psychically, mentally and emotionally. She is dedicated to creating such an environment to meet each individual Childs needs.

Philosophy

At our school, our mission is to provide an inclusive nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for children to learn, grow and thrive. We believe in a developmentally appropriate practice which focuses on tailoring activities and experiences to each child’s unique developmental stage, interests, and abilities. Curriculum is flexible and responsive to individual needs.
