Our Teachers
Ms. Jane
Ms. Jane got her start as a preschool teacher almost by accident, teaching part time in a program in Berkeley, CA. She quickly realized it was her true calling and started taking evening classes in child development. She finally decided to open her own program when getting pregnant with her daughter. It had always been her dream to run her own school, and this was the perfect time to make it a reality. When she’s not running around with kids or planning new adventures for her program, she enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking.
Ms. Celia
Celia is the assistant teacher at the Wonderschool Lab School. The kids especially love when she leads story time and music and movement. She has no formal training in child development, but has spent her entire life taking care of children (babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, Sunday school teacher). Since starting with Ms. Jane, she been working towards her Child Development Associate.

Testimonio 2
We can’t say enough good things about Ms. Jane and Ms. Celia! They are so patient, caring, and helpful. They really supported us when we were trying to potty train our child. It has been absolutely wonderful to have such talented teachers to tell us everything we need to know. We will be so sad when it’s time to move on to kindergarten! - Layla
Philosophy
Our Reggio-inspired program seeks to nurture the whole child in a loving and nature-filled environment. We believe that children learn best when they can follow their interests and lead their own learning.
We focus on:
- Social-emotional development
- Physical development
- Cognitive development
- Creative development
- Long-term project exploration
Location
Our program is located in a bright, welcoming single family home in the SOMA neighborhood. We make use of local parks for outdoor play every day.
About our program
We seek to live up to the full expression of the Reggio philosophy in everything we do. Parent and community involvement is a key aspect of this approach to learning. We hope that your family will become partners in your child’s learning, participate in family events, and find opportunities to share your own special traditions with our community. We communicate regularly using the Wonderschool app to build a strong connection between school and home.
