Our Teachers

Hello! I am Jazmine, the founder of Steps To Grow Childcare. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I am a mother and have a preschool-aged daughter and I have spent years of my life caring for relatives.

We love Jazmine. Our son has been with her since he was 5 months old and he absolutely adores her. He's learned so much from her and being around the other kids. Whenever anyone asks for daycare recommendations I always recommend her. We have nothing but good things to say about Steps to Grow.

We love Jazmine and appreciate all of her hard work. She has provided my child with a caring and nurturing environment and we can tell that she is really cared for.

Philosophy

At Steps To Grow Childcare, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished.

We follow a play-based philosophy. We believe that children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by exploring new experiences. We prepare our environment to be responsive to the children in our care, and allow children’s own interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement.

Location

Steps To Grow Childcare is located in a warm, welcoming, inviting, cozy apartment in the Lower Dimond District neighborhood.

We’ve thoughtfully designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Steps To Grow Childcare, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
