Our Teachers
Adriena Smith, Director of Love Centered Daycare started her early childhood program after having her own two babies ages 2 and 9 months. She fosters a love for all youth as she believes they are the center of our growing world. Adriena obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cal State University East Bay and has over 15 years of experience working in the educational field. Adriena is passionate about social emotional learning, spreading human kindness, and pouring love and light into children in various capacities. An average day in her care will consist of reading, music fun, napping, toys, beginners’ art, sensory play, mastering fine motor skills amongst other fun activities. Adriena finds an abundance of joy from working in a safe, loving, nurturing environment for infants to thrive and learn every day!

Philosophy
At our childcare facility, we believe in teaching love and kindness through play and social interaction. We follow a play-based approach where children learn to navigate their physical and social environment, while also imagining and constructing new realities. Through play, they practice problem-solving skills, explore concepts of love, wisdom, and safety.
Location
Located in the Clinton area of Oakland in a small intimate apartment perfect for infants. Call box located outside for program safety.

It is fundamental to raise good people and the staff at Love Centered Daycare understand that importance. Early childhood is such a precious stage, and we are here to provide our babies with ongoing Attention, Approval and Affection. At Love Centered Daycare we strive to value each child’s family and culture. We are here as a village to provide quality care to our community!
