Our Teachers

My name is Maria Rojas, and I am the director of Happy Faces. Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of working in the field of childcare. I began my journey as a nanny and also worked at my sister’s childcare center for five years. However, during that time, I discovered my true passion for teaching and nurturing the younger generation. I found myself drawn towards the world of childcare and realized the joy it brings me to watch these little ones grow and learn under my guidance. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I feel honored to play a role in shaping their early years. Working in childcare has provided me with a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment. At Happy Faces, I am dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and educational environment for every child in my care.

Philosophy

In Happy Faces, my Spanish immersion bilingual program, our philosophy revolves around providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children. We believe that play is the most powerful tool for learning, as it allows children to explore, experiment, and discover at their own pace. Through our play-based approach, we encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Our focus on language immersion ensures that children are exposed to Spanish in a natural and meaningful way, fostering bilingualism from an early age. Above all, we strive to create a joyful and inclusive atmosphere where happy faces abound, as we believe that a positive and welcoming environment is essential for children to thrive and reach their full potential.

Location

Happy Faces Family Childcare is nestled in a warm and inviting family home, complete with a spacious backyard that offers endless opportunities for outdoor play and exploration. Situated in close proximity to Burckhalter Elementary School, our location provides convenient access for families with school-age children. We take pride in our welcoming and secure environment, where children can thrive and learn while feeling safe and cared for. At Happy Faces, we believe in creating a nurturing space that fosters growth, happiness, and a strong sense of community for all our little ones.

About our program

At Happy Faces Childcare, we prioritize creating a warm and inclusive environment for all our students. As a bilingual childcare, we embrace diversity and offer language immersion programs. One of our key values is providing organic meals, as we are highly conscious of the importance of healthy nutrition for growing children. We cherish every milestone achieved by our students, including their graduation as they age out of our program. Our approach is centered around making our students feel like part of our extended family, fostering strong relationships and building trust.
