Hi there! My name is Evelyn Spathis, and I am the proud founder of Evalyn’s Family Child Care. My passion for working with children began at a young age, and I have been dedicated to their care and education for over 38 years.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children from different backgrounds and cultures. I believe that every child is unique and deserves individual attention and care, and I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.

As a childcare provider, I am committed to providing high-quality care and education to children. I believe that learning should be a fun and engaging experience, and I work to create activities and experiences that promote creativity, exploration, and problem-solving.

In addition to my years of experience in the field, I have also pursued ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in early childhood education. My ultimate goal is to create a program that meets the individual needs of each child and provides a strong foundation for their future success.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Evalyn’s Family Child Care is rooted in the belief that children’s emotional well-being is just as important as their academic and physical growth. Location

Evalyn’s Family Child Care is located in a spacious, bright single family home in the Crestmont neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning).

Children will spend most of the day outdoors in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Evalyn’s Family Child Care, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
