Our Teachers

Hello! I am Ana Castellon, the founder of Bright Start Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because as a parent myself, I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 20 years of experience working with young children.

Philosophy

We believe that every child is special and unique, that every child has potential, and that all children should have a nurturing environment that promotes a successful school experience. Children are sensitive, feeling and thinking individuals who thrive in an enriched environment where caring and understanding adults are responsive to their needs.

We are committed to providing a language-based curriculum designed to meet the needs of children while integrating the development of the child’s physical, emotional, creative, intellectual, social and cultural skills through play. We promote opportunities for children to explore, to question and to succeed at their own individual pace. We acknowledge that everyone is unique and appreciate cultural diversity and various social backgrounds. We believe that through successful participation in learning experiences, children will develop positive self-esteem needed to thrive in school and beyond.

Location

Bright Start Wonderschool is located in a warm, welcoming single family home in the Norwalk neighborhood. We live in a child-friendly community between Paddison and Lakeland Elementary School.

We’ve designed our care environment with spacious indoor and outdoor play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and nature area (for discovering nature and science concepts).

At Bright Start Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
