Our Teachers

Hello! I am Rosa Campos, the founder of Campitos Family Child Care Wonderschool. As a parent, I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 9 years of experience working with young children and enjoy running my program with my daughter Alejandrina. Together, we aim to provide the best quality early childhood education for all little ones to grow and thrive.

Our Directors

Rosa Aminta Campos

Through the privilege and opportunity of being a mother, I have learned how vulnerable children are and the importance of providing them with care and attention. I believe in having a healthy and safe environment that promotes the development of every child. I have been taking care of children since I took on the role of a mother 29 years ago. I have also worked with many families’ children for seventeen years. I want to serve the families of my community by providing quality childcare.

Alejandrina Campos

I have had the privilege of caring for children for the past seven years. I have worked with several families, building strong relationships with children and parents. I know the importance of providing high-quality care and giving children the necessary tools and support to succeed through the different developmental stages. Most importantly, I enjoy working with children and want to use my experience to help families care for their children.

Philosophy

At Campitos Child care, we provide high-quality care to children of all ages. Our focus is to provide your children with a safe, inspiring, and motivating environment that encourages creativity and exploration through fun, play, art, and communication. We believe in:

· Acting as facilitators for parents, teachers foster each child’s open-ended discovery invention and problem-solving

· Building curiosity and confidence in your children as they become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners

· Fostering connections between families, faith, and community

· Creating an open inviting, honest, and non-judgmental community to support one another

· Engaging in meaningful relationships with your child and their playmates

· Celebrating and encouraging honest expression and dialogue

Campitos Child Care prides itself in offering a curriculum that celebrates diversity. We promote values that show the children to respect and have a love for one another. At Campitos family child care, we believe in an open conversation with children and let them explore by asking questions, explore topics that interest them, reading, writing, math, science, observations, and socializing with one another. We offer high-quality care that sets the foundation for successful early childhood education.

Location

Campitos Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, beautiful single family home in the North Hills neighborhood. We are 2 miles away from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and Petit Park Granada Hills Recreation Center.

We’ve intentionally designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).

Children will have some outdoor time every day in my backyard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Campitos Family Child Care Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

About our program

Our Mission

To provide children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which they can grow, learn, and achieve their full potential. We strive to build trusting relationships with each of our families by providing excellent care

Our Vision

To be a place where families and children from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences feel valued and welcomed to ensure each child’s healthy and happy development.

Our Program

Our daycare is a bilingual (Spanish/English) program in which children engage in games and activities that stimulate their social, cognitive, physical, and emotional growth. We understand each child is different, and we always strive to provide personalized care that allows each child to explore the world at their own pace. Through our program, children will have a strong foundation to be successful in their future school years.
