Developed by the renowned physician and educator Dr. Maria Montessori, the Montessori method of education is child-directed and seeks to develop a child’s natural desire to learn. The Montessori classroom creates an environment for learning where children can be their own masters, free to learn at their own pace. Children use the Montessori materials to stimulate their powers of observation, recognition, judgment, and classification. Inherently logical and aesthetically pleasing, they were designed to hone the child’s visual, auditory, and tactile perceptions. Each child approaches the apparatus differently, and the teacher’s role is to let the child experiment, perceive his own mistakes, and run his own risks in learning.
About our program
Fulbright Montessori Academy has been serving the young children and families of this community since January 2003. We are located in Lake Forest close to Irvine, and next to the Baker Ranch community, we offer a beautiful, spacious, and nurturing environment for your child.
Guided by the Montessori philosophy, we believe children develop at their own pace. We respect and appreciate the individuality of each child at our school. Children learn using specialized materials in a carefully and thoughtfully prepared environment.
