Our Teachers
Hi! I’m Rachelle, and I am the Director of Future Explorers Home Preschool. I have more than twenty years of professional experience serving children and families. In my career, I have been both a teacher and center director. One of the schools I helped to manage had over forty teachers and two hundred students! I have a Certificate in Early Childhood Education, a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, an AS in Respiratory Care, and a BA in Humanities. I am CPR and First Aid certified and trained in Preventative Health and Safety. I am fingerprinted by the State of CA and have passed the state’s Criminal Background Check.
My husband is Joey, and we have three children, Jordan, Jaiea, and Jonah. On the weekends, you might find us watching sports, checking out new restaurants, or just hanging out at home BBQing. Joey loves to cook! I also love binge-watching KDramas!
Every child gets asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My answer was always a teacher! I come from a family with generations of teachers! My Dad, both my grandmothers and my great-grandmother were all teachers and their love for kids always inspired me to follow in their footsteps. It is my goal to continue their legacy and to serve the community. Most importantly, I just genuinely love caring for and teaching young children!
Testimonials
I was very picky about which school my son would go to, but I know that I made the right choice. I had a hard time transitioning from being home to going back to work, but Rachelle really helped in easing that transition for my son. I can’t thank her enough for giving me the piece of mind I needed in the beginning. My son loves to go to school. -Regina G
My daughter spent three years with Miss Rachelle and was fully prepared for kindergarten. She assured me that my daughter was ready and that she would do well. I was a wreck on her first day of kindergarten, but my daughter was fine. Thank you, Miss Rachelle, for getting her ready for this milestone. -Robyn B
All my three kids had Ms. Rachelle as a teacher and they loved her. My eldest daughter is in high school and still loves to come see her during pick-up time. She is super warm and friendly and always communicated well with me and my husband. The kids learned a lot from her. -Angel V
Philosophy
The school’s teaching philosophy is Play-Based with a STEAM component, emphasizing a warm, loving, safe environment for children’s growth and learning. Individualized, meaningful, and engaging experiences are offered to support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, with a focus on building positive relationships with parents to create a supportive community for all young children and families.
About our program
What can you expect from Future Explorers Home Preschool? My school serves children from age 2 to 5 years old, and our program runs from 9am to 5pm. I serve fresh nutritious meals (AM snack, lunch, and PM snack). I provide our students with a safe environment to thrive both academically and socially/emotionally and within a small group (up to 8 students max). Each child is provided an individualized academic path that includes a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, STEAM-based, and most importantly play-based (FUN). The curriculum is based on the foundations of child development and backed by research.
We will focus our fun and learning on kindergarten readiness, social and emotional learning, and multicultural awareness (support for English learners, and multilingual perspectives in ASL, Spanish, and even Tagalog). STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), as well as Language Development (sight words, writing, early critical thinking skills), are the foundational keys children will learn at Future Explorers Home Preschool.
You are your child’s first teacher, so building a partnership with families is an important part of my program, as well. At Future Explorers Home Preschool, my goal is to make our school a safe place for all families, that our school becomes an extension of your own home. It takes a village to raise a child. Let Future Explorers Home Preschool be a part of your village.
