Our Teachers
Hello! My name is Violet, and I am the founder of Razuri Family Childcare. In my home country of Peru, I got my degree in Psychology and often use my experiences there in thinking about child development and the kids in my care. I have been running this program for 19 years and took many courses at Mission College nearby in child development, including some amazing classes about how the brain grows and develops.
Achievements
Philosophy
At Razuri Family Child Care & Wonderschool, we believe that children learn and grow best when they are given the chance to play. The materials and environment have been arranged to meet the needs of children of all ages, and they learn by interacting with me, each other, and the various learning spaces that we have set up.
We strive to make children feel secure through a structured routine each day. As children are guided from activity to activity, we let their independence develop through exploration of their unique interests!
Location
Nestled into our single-family home right in the middle of Granada Hills, our childcare program utilizes multiple rooms and our entire fenced-in backyard! We are right off the 118 and a short drive from both the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center and CSU-Northridge.
About our program
We believe in building a foundation for your child’s continued growth and knowledge! Our program has a STEAM approach to activities - curiosity and creativity are born out of the activities we plan for our students.
Parents know what happens each day. I like to send messages and photos through an app that all of my parents download so that they can see what we do each day.
We approach the whole child. While we certainly want to provide a love of reading or learning as children prepare for kindergarten, we also think about the complete child. Our program uses the Creative Curriculum to ensure that children’s minds are nurtured and we often use circle time to discuss things like showing respect and being friends!
Our program supports English and Spanish language development. No matter what language is spoken at home, your child will develop the ability to comprehend and speak in both languages after spending ample time in our care!
We are rated a Top Tier program by Quality Start Los Angeles - an external organization that visits and rates in-home child care on elements like the environment, interactions with children, and teacher’s educational background.
