Our Teachers

Hi, I’m Charlotte Acevedo, a passionate early childhood education professional and founder of our program. For over 5 years, I’ve been working with young children in the areas of learning and play. My inspiration for this educational program came from my own son Zen, and it has been my dream ever since to create an inspiring space where children can learn, grow and have fun.

Philosophy

Joyful Zen Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum that is aligned with the California State Standards and the Common Core State Standards. Students receive instruction in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies.

Our dedicated teachers are passionate about cultivating the joy of learning in our students. With an engaging and interactive curriculum, we foster growth in all aspects - academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. ​ At Joyful Zen Academy, we not only equip children with essential lifelong skills but also empower and support their individual interests and goals. Our warm and inclusive environment fosters a sense of purpose, builds self-confidence, and cultivates meaningful relationships with peers. ​ Our ultimate aim is to instill a lifelong enthusiasm for learning that will continue to inspire our students as they transition into young adults.
