Hi! I’m Rhonda Stubbe, owner and operator of Jest For Kids. I’ve always loved taking care of children since age 11! I took a child care program in high school and that set my mind with what I wanted to do. I went to college for computer programming, but my love of caring for children was always there. After having my own children and not being able to find infant care, I decided to switch gears and do all the schooling, licensing, and open up my own center. I was able to stay home with my girls and I understand the frustration that parents feel when they try to find child care. I think it was so beneficial for me to tell parents, “Hey, I’ve been in your shoes!” and to make sure to provide a place where they can feel comfortable leaving their children when they go to work.

At Jest for Kids, I know those first 5 years are the most important in a child’s lifetime. At this stage of life, children are like sponges with the highest capability of learning to get them started. I feel that if I can give them that good head start, it will give them such a great perspective for learning when they get to school. I pride myself on working with 2, 3, and 4 years olds. I’ve worked with children who did not have the ability to speak English when they first arrived at my program, but within 3 months they became verbal, speaking with excitement, and learning so much!

Jest For Kids is located centrally in the community. We are close to local parks and the library. We are in walking distance of many field trips - which we hope to continue in the spring!
