Hello, my name is Mary, and I am the director of Green Mountain Childcare. With many years of experience working with children, I have cultivated a deep passion for nurturing young minds. My journey began with raising my own children and extending my care to foster children for eight fulfilling years. I also had the privilege of working for HCRS, where I took children out into the community, further enriching their experiences. Witnessing the joy and wonder in children’s eyes as they explore and learn is what drives my dedication to childcare. Opening my home to caring for children felt like a natural extension of this passion. What I find most rewarding is observing their growth and witnessing the excitement when they grasp new concepts. At Green Mountain Childcare, we prioritize creating a nurturing environment where every child feels loved and supported, enabling them to reach their full potential.

At Green Mountain Childcare, our philosophy revolves around the idea of play-based learning. I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and secure environment where children can thrive. In our program, children are encouraged to learn through active engagement, whether it’s through play, creating, or problem-solving collaboratively. I firmly believe that when children are fully immersed and engaged in their surroundings, incredible things happen. It’s in these moments of genuine interaction and exploration that true learning occurs, sparking a sense of wonder and discovery in each child.

At Green Mountain Childcare, our cozy family home nestled in a safe neighborhood provides the perfect setting for children to learn and grow. With a spacious backyard for outdoor play and exploration, we offer a secure environment away from busy traffic. Conveniently situated just a couple of miles from downtown Springfield, VT, and in close proximity to Chester, we are easily accessible for families in the area. Additionally, our location near all the local schools ensures convenience for parents dropping off and picking up their children.

Come see what makes Green mountain childcare unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
