My experience working with children in both a childcare setting and also as a kindergarten classroom teacher has shown me that some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are given opportunities to explore, ask questions, create, solve problems, and simply be curious. I created The Learning Lab to provide that environment in a home setting that combines quality child care with meaningful learning experiences.
Philosophy
At The Learning Lab, we believe young children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore. Our home based program provides a warm, nurturing, environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace while receiving the individualized attention that comes from being part of a small group.
We believe that play is an essential part of learning. Through hands on activities, exploration, music, movement, art, stories, sensory experiences, and age appropriate activities, children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, solve problems, and discover the world around them.
Location
The Learning Lab is conveniently located in the Green Run community of Virginia Beach, providing families with the comfort of a home based child care setting while remaining close to many of the schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and family resources that make this area convenient for busy families.
Our location is just minutes away from Green Run Elementary School. We are centrally located near the Green Run, Landstown, Holland, and surrounding Virginia Beach communities.
