Chivon Thorne, Program Director
Ms. Chivon is pursuing and finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2001, she began her career in the childcare field not knowing that she would fall completely in love. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children that she teaches and the their families. Ms. Chivon and her team believes in getting to know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years. She also believes, that smaller class sizes and the development of a strong community helps children grow to their fullest potential.

Our program follows a play-based philosophy. We believe that children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by exploring new experiences. Our environment is responsive to the children in our care, and allows children’s own interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement.
Acerca de nuestro programa
Watch Me Grow Home Childcare is located in Richmond Virginia between Forest Hill Ave and Jahnke Rd. We are just a short walk away from Westover Elementary.
We have created our environment with developmentally appropriate activities of any child’s choice. We have a home living center for learning through play, a free play center for developing social skills and meaningful interactions and a block center for gross motor skills. Outdoor time will be used to allow students an opportunity to exercise, run, play and move!

2. Tour our program
Come see what makes Watch Me Grow Home Childcare, LLC unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/watch-me-grow-home-childcare-llc-6411/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
