Pwofesè nou yo

My name is LaToya Wright, and I am the proud founder of The Learning Lab Child Development Center. My passion has always been helping children learn, grow, and discover their full potential. I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive environment where they feel encouraged, valued, and inspired to succeed.

As a lifelong learner myself, and former kindergarten teacher, I believe education is one of the greatest investments we can make in a child’s future. My goal is to build a program that reflects my commitment to high quality care, academic enrichment, and continuous improvement.

At The Learning Lab, our goal is to provide more than childcare, we strive to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child has the opportunity to explore, discover, and grow.

I am honored to serve the families of Norfolk and look forward to building lasting relationships with the children and parents who become part of The Learning Lab family.

Thank you for considering The Learning Lab Child Development Center. I look forward to welcoming you and your child.

Filozofi

At The Learning Lab Child Development Center, we believe every child is naturally curious, capable, and full of potential. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore new ideas, ask questions, solve problems, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We believe learning continues beyond the classroom. Our program is designed to support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development through meaningful experiences that inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage independence.

Our STEM-focused approach introduces children to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on activities that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. We believe children learn best by actively participating, experimenting, and discovering the world around them.

We recognize that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. We value open communication, mutual respect, and strong partnerships with parents to ensure every child receives consistent support both at home and in our program.

At The Learning Lab, we strive to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged to become responsible, compassionate, and confident individuals. Through positive relationships, engaging educational experiences, and flexible care designed to meet the needs of today’s families, we prepare children not only for academic success but for success in life.
