My name is Lakisha Leeks, I am a wife and mother of two. A girl and boy, Skye and EJ.

I am from Newport News Virginia. I am a military veteran. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Morgan State University and Master’s degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University. I spent 16 years in Corporate America in sales in business development in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area.

I will be my children’s teacher for the unforeseeable future. I found that starting a daycare naturally made sense for our family. I want to support working parents by teaching their children, giving love, and preparing their children for, public, private or homeschool in the future.

I take my job as a childcare provider seriously and will continue to educate myself and partner with the best resources.

We will teach children basic learning fundamentals through a play-based curriculum. We understand what we teach maybe their first time being exposed to the information. We are patient and consistent in our learning approach. drop the word and (opportunity to learn at their own pace.)

We teach children how to interact socially, share, and take turns. We will provide a caring and fun environment that children enjoy.

Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy will first make your child feel welcomed, loved and secure. We will emphasize self-confidence, healthy social interactions; promote creative thinking through playing and physical health by going outside to play.

Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy believes in shaping children early by giving them the time and attention needed to foster a positive and confident self-image. Sharing, being kind, listening, and wanting to learn are some of the social fundamentals that will be taught.

As a mother of two, I know that watching your baby develop is a magical and once in a lifetime experience. We want to amaze you with the growth and development you see within your child. As a mom, I understand the importance a good child care provider and quality child care program will have on your child’s development.

My commitment to you is to ensure the safety, comfort, health, and happiness of children in my care. I will give children one on one attention daily and present them with the opportunity to learn at their own pace. I will strive to keep the lines of communication open between myself and the families I serve. I am here to be your child’s teacher, caregiver and advocate, and your partner in the growth and development of your child.
