Our Teachers

I am so thankful that you are taking the time to look for the right program for your child who might learn a little differently than other children. I hope that you find what you are looking for here at Little Lights. I have worked in Special Education for 10 years, beginning as a special education teacher assistant. I found autism so interesting that I decided to work at an Autism Behavior clinic that specialized in ABA therapy while I finished my Bachelors degree through Angelo State University. I graduated with my degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood. After graduating, I worked in the public school special education world for 5 years as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher in an Autism Unit. I obtained my masters degree in Special Education with a speciality in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Arizona State University while working in the classroom, and I absolutely love being a teacher. My student’s success was important to me, but what was even more important was that they felt loved and valued. I use researched based techniques while incorporating sensory-friendly and play- based academic activities to allow all types of learners an opportunity to grow. Here at Little Lights, I believe in setting a strong foundation so that each child can have the brightest future possible.
