Keizer Rugrats PlaySchool is led by Margarita, also known as Mrs. M.
Margarita is the Owner, Provider, and Director of the program. Before opening Keizer Rugrats PlaySchool, she worked for over 3 years as an assistant teacher in a similar childcare setting. During that time, she earned her CDA in Family Child Care and gained hands-on experience supporting children through daily routines, early learning, play, behavior guidance, and social-emotional development.
Our assistant teacher, Destiny, brings around 4 years of on-and-off childcare experience in daycare settings. She is also a mother herself, which gives her a personal understanding of the care, patience, and trust families look for when choosing childcare.
Together, our teaching approach is calm, nurturing, structured, and intentional. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, known, supported, and guided by consistent routines and caring adults.
All staff meet Oregon childcare requirements, including background registry enrollment, required health and safety training, CPR and First Aid, and ongoing professional development.

We believe early learning should be playful, hands-on, and intentional. Our curriculum is planned to support preschool readiness, social-emotional development, language, creativity, motor skills, independence, and curiosity.
Children learn through real experiences: art, sensory play, music, outdoor exploration, stories, movement, dramatic play, and guided activities. We balance child-led play with teacher-planned learning so children have freedom to explore while still benefiting from structure.
Our program values kindness, safety, respect, curiosity, independence, and emotional growth. We use calm guidance, predictable expectations, and gentle redirection to help children build confidence and learn how to be part of a group.

Keizer Rugrats PlaySchool is located in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood in Keizer, Oregon.
Our program is close to Keizer Elementary School and conveniently located near local Keizer roadways, making drop-off and pick-up simple for families commuting through the area. Keizer Elementary is located on McClure Street N, and Keizer Rapids Park is also nearby, offering one of Keizer’s largest outdoor recreation areas.
Our location gives families the comfort of a neighborhood setting while still being easy to access. The program includes driveway parking for safe and simple arrival and departure.
The childcare space itself is dedicated entirely to children, with areas for learning, play, rest, meals, creativity, indoor movement, and outdoor time.

Keizer Rugrats PlaySchool is a Certified Family Child Care program in Keizer, Oregon, created to give children a safe, structured, and nurturing place to learn and grow.
Our program is located in a dedicated home-like childcare space designed entirely for children. No one lives in the home, which allows the environment to be thoughtfully set up for learning, play, rest, meals, creativity, and development.
We combine the warmth of a small childcare setting with the structure of a preschool day. Children are supported through predictable routines, hands-on curriculum, outdoor play, social-emotional learning, and gentle guidance.
Our goal is for every child to feel safe, known, loved, and excited to come each day.
