Carmen Cruz is the founder of DR Daycare Wonderschool. She was inspired to start her own program because she saw a need for high-quality care for the many families in her community. She is an active member in her church and in local family organizations and has been formally recognized for her positive contributions to the community. Caring for children is her passion and she is excited to welcome you to her daycare!
Elsa is the full time assistant at the daycare. She is here every day and works with the children in both English and Spanish. She has been at DR Daycare Wonderschool for years and we love having her as part of our daycare staff!

DR Daycare Wonderschool is located on the first floor of a warm, welcoming home in the Ridgewood neighborhood in Queens.
We are right off of the Q55 bus route and within walking distance of the M train.
At DR Daycare Wonderschool, we have a fun, playful care environment with multiple learning opportunities for our kids! Throughout the day, we discover new things and learn from each other in both English and Spanish. We love doing art projects in our art center, playing with puzzles to challenge our brains, and going on adventures as we read in our library!
Children at DR Daycare Wonderschool will have some outdoor time everyday in my private backyard. If the weather allows, we will also go outside for walks around the neighborhood.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program!
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
