Johnna Quist ( Director)- California born and raised, I have years of personal and professional experience when it comes to interacting with children. Working with youth for the past 10 years in various settings, I have a passion and desire to serve children. Being a part of my community and designing a program fit for children to learn and grow has been a passion of mine for quite some time. After being an educator for at-risk teens, I realized that in order to be a part of their development, it starts at the beginning. I use my warm spirit and outspoken charm with the children and make it easy to build relationships and keep children on track for reaching their fullest potential. I collaborate with parents, and members of the  community to build a strong foundation for your children to maximize their social, emotional and educational development. I understand that it takes a village to raise a child, and I want to do my part, at being included in your village.

Milton Seamon (Daytime caregiver)- Growing up in underprivilege community in Northern California, Milton wanted to make a difference where it counts. Being a father of 3, he prides himself on ensuring all needs of children are met and they have a balance of learning and playtime collectively.

Terrlyn Geyen (Overnight caregiver)- From the beautiful state of Louisianan, Terrlyn has always had a passion for children. Promptly after high school, she began babysitting/nanny work for her neighborhood and family and fell in love with the field. She now looks forward to opening up her own facility where she to can create more memories with children.

Jaida (Intern)-Jaida is our wonderful intern. She wants to gain experience in childcare because of her dream of becoming a pediatrician. She enjoys arts and crafts with the kids and taking care of our infants. She hopes to obtain an abundance of knowledge in the childcare profession.

Filosofía

At Village Daycare children are gently encouraged to discover their individual strengths and unique talents. We believe that each child possesses a marvelous capacity to learn. Learning is best accomplished in a place that is emotionally secure, physically safe, and fun!

We believe that children are precious and must receive care from adults who are capable and caring whose values enable them to be excellent role models. Children should experience numerous positive learning milestones, leading to an increased sense of competence and independence. Play is extremely vital to healthy physical development, acceptable social skills, and cognitive growth of our children. We also believe that parents contribute to, and enhance the quality of care offered at Village Daycare.
