Shannon De La Torre, Director
Shannon has been taking care of children since she was a child, that person with a baby on her hip at all times. She has 4 kids of her own, one adopted out of foster care as well as helped to raise her nephew. Shannon ran a group home that specialized in special need individuals for several years in California and then did foster care for over 4 years when she moved to Las Vegas. She loves working with children and especially helping the foster care community. Shannon has been running a child care program for almost 5 years after friends needed help with child care for their foster kids. She is working towards her CDA, is fingerprinted with Metro, CPR/First Aid certified and takes continuous classes for the enrichment of her program and staff.

At Minion Ranch Child Care, we know that each child is unique. We know that children flourish when they are given the support they need in order to learn and grow. As caretakers, we must consider the different needs of our children and model our programs to suit them. At Minion Ranch, we believe that quality learning begins by making children feel safe while in our care. As teachers, we must create genuine relationships with our children in order to build this trust. Once children feel comfortable, they are emotionally ready to investigate their new environment in ways that facilitate growth and learning. Our children are encouraged to play with each other and staff in a natural setting with age-appropriate games, toys and activities, including STEAM curriculum.

Minion Ranch Child Care is a single story home on a cul-de-sac street in a quiet and safe neighborhood on the corner of Ann and Jones. We are conveniently located in the North side of Las Vegas off Ann Road on the 95 or Jones off the 215.
