Markesha Harris , Director

Markesha Harris graduated from West Los Angeles college in 2014 with an Associates degree. Since 2007, I realized my dream of having my very own in home childcare program after being a special education teacher. Being in the classroom for almost 15 years, motivated me in believing that this was all possible. One of my favorite things about what I do is developing relationships with the children that I teach and their families. I believe that small class size and the development of a strong community allow me and my team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art, social sciences and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
