Our Teachers
Jackeline Portillo, Director/Teacher
Jackie graduated from Highlands University with an Early Childhood Multicultural Education Degree and from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education Degree. After gaining experience as an educator she is now realizing her dream of having her own childcare program. Her favorite thing about what she does is offering quality early education to young children and supporting families. She believes that home education builds strong relationships and allows children to thrive in an environment that values their own uniqueness.
Philosophy
Think. Reason. Question. Experiment. These are just a few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at The Village Academy. We are focused on supporting kids during all transitions throughout childhood.
All activities are designed to adequately nurture the emotional and intellectual growth of our children. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, young children are free to develop into bright young minds.
Location
We are located on Highway 14, ten minutes from Turquoise Trail Charter School. We are in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with lots of outdoor space to explore. We are 20 minutes from the Southside of Santa Fe and from I-25. It is also a convenient location for families going to Santa Fe from Cerrillos, Madrid or Albuquerque!
