Philosophy

The mission of Kids Campus is to provide a positive and nurturing bilingual learning environment for children and their families. We are committed to serving our diverse community by respecting and responding to the needs of each family.

About our program

Kids Campus in a high-quality bilingual early care and education center located at Santa Fe Community College. We have a full-time program Monday through Friday for children two months through five years old.

Kids Campus has 6 tuition-based classrooms for infants, toddlers and two and three-year old children and 4 PreK classrooms funded through the New Mexico Early Care and Education Department. Wraparound care for PreK is available.

Each classroom has a highly qualified lead teacher and two teacher assistants to maintain low teacher to child ratios. Our staff are bilingual, trained in childhood development, and serve as facilitators to help children grow and learn by sparking inner curiosity and a desire to explore the world. Teachers foster strong relationships with children and families as the foundation for learning.

We are a five-star nationally accredited program through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the highest level of accreditation. In addition, we hold a five-star rating with the New Mexico Early Care and Education Department. National and state accreditation ensure that children at Kids Campus have the best early learning experience possible through high-quality curriculum and relationships with caring adults.

We are proud to be a laboratory school for students pursing certificates and degrees in early childhood education and the APRENDE early childhood teacher apprenticeship program.

Admissions

We welcome all SFCC students, SFCC employees and community members to enroll their children at Kids Campus. Children of students enrolled in degree or certificate programs at SFCC, SFCC employees, and full-time students at the Higher Education Center are prioritized for placement to support a two-generation philosophy of education at the college.

SFCC student parents must be in a declared degree or certificate program and taking a minimum of 6 credit hours per term. At enrollment, you will need to present a current school schedule with 6 or more credits and Kids Campus will verify enrollment at the mid-term through mid-term grades. Changes in student status may affect enrollment at Kids Campus.

Our classroom settings support inclusive practices and teachers are prepared to work with all students, including students with different learning needs.

We encourage all interested families to apply to SFCC Kids Campus to be added to the waitlist. Space becomes available year-round for all classrooms.

Enrollment Process: Step 1: Complete the Kids Campus Waitlist Form through Smartcare. LINK TO KIDS CAMPUS WAIT LIST APPLICATION:
