My name is Karina Snodgrass, and I’m so excited to share a little about myself and my amazing team with you. I was born and raised in Chile, and today I’m proud to call New Mexico home. As a polyglot with over 20 years of experience in childcare and education, I bring both professional expertise and heartfelt passion to everything I do. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Teacher Education with a focus on Special Education, and as a mother of five, I know firsthand the importance of creating a nurturing, joyful, and safe environment where children can thrive. Languages and culture are my greatest passions, I love teaching children to embrace diversity, celebrate their abilities, and discover the joy of learning through play. Beyond the classroom, I volunteer with the local Girl Scouts and partner with community organizations to help families grow stronger and more empowered. Currently, I am also pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Early Childhood Education and endorsements in Bilingual Education and Special Education. This journey reflects my dedication to continually expanding my knowledge so I can better serve children and families.
✨ But I don’t do this alone! ✨ I’m blessed to work alongside an incredible team of assistants. Each assistant was hand‑selected not only for their professional skills but also for their qualities as loving, active mothers who bring warmth, energy, and dedication to our community. Together, we form a caring team, a “tribe” committed to creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children thrive. Each one is: Bilingual and deeply connected to our community Mothers who understand the heart of caregiving Experienced educators with backgrounds in different schools across the area Licensed substitutes through the New Mexico Department of Education Together, we are compassionate, strong, and passionate about helping children succeed. We believe in hands‑on activities, play‑based learning, and creating a loving environment where every child feels valued and inspired. Our mission is simple: to provide a space where children can learn, laugh, and grow, while families feel supported and uplifted. At our daycare, children embark on a bilingual journey of discovery, surrounded by compassion, play, and encouragement to grow into confident, curious learners.

We believe every child embarks on an extraordinary journey of discovery from the moment they enter our care. To support this transition, we offer a 30-day trial period beginning on the child’s first day, allowing families and educators to build a foundation of trust, cooperation, and mutual understanding. This partnership between caregivers and parents is essential to creating a nurturing, bilingual environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired. Children are welcomed into a space where they are lovingly cared for, well-nourished, and encouraged to explore age-appropriate, thoughtfully planned activities that support their 3 developmental stages. We ask families to always say goodbye when leaving the classroom, this simple gesture helps ease separation and fosters emotional security. Our daily routines unfold in an atmosphere rich in affection, respect, and play, where bilingual learning (English and Spanish) is seamlessly integrated. Through meaningful experiences, children begin to sow the seeds of knowledge, cultivating curiosity and confidence as they grow. Open communication is at the heart of our philosophy. When welcoming a new family, we prioritize transparency and encourage ongoing dialogue about your child’s care and learning journey. We must share a common vision of childcare, one rooted in empathy, bilingualism, and a deep commitment to each child’s holistic development

Our program is located near Southern and Broadmoor, a family‑friendly area that offers both convenience and community. We are surrounded by schools, shopping centers, and local parks, making it easy for families to access everything they need within minutes.
Although we are situated near a busy street, our neighborhood is known for being quiet, safe, and respectful of children. Many of our neighbors are long‑time residents who value community, and we are fortunate to live across from police officers, which adds an extra sense of security and reassurance for families.
The nearby parks provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor play and exploration, while the close proximity to schools makes our location ideal for families with children of different ages. Public transportation options are also accessible, making drop‑off and pick‑up convenient for parents with busy schedules.
Overall, our location combines the best of both worlds: the energy of a well‑connected area with the comfort of a nurturing, respectful community. It’s a place where children can grow, play, and learn in safety while families feel supported and connected

Admission Statement Bilingual Journey Learning Center is now welcoming new families for the upcoming school year. We currently have 2 openings in our Toddler Group (18 months–3 years) and 3 openings in our Preschool/Pre‑K Group (3–5 years). Families are invited to schedule a tour to come meet us, explore our bilingual learning environment, and get a feel for our warm, child and play‑based, home‑centered program. During your visit, we take time to learn about your child’s needs, routines, strengths, and family culture, and we talk together about whether our Spanish–English environment is the right fit for your family. -Our goal is to build a strong partnership with every family. We value open communication, cultural connection, and developmentally appropriate learning that supports the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
