Anita Coles

Anita has a Bachelor’s in Social Work; two Master’s, one in Science of Education and the 2nd Master’s in Early Childhood Studies, and one year away from obtaining a Doctoral Degree in Early Childhood Education. Anita has over 14 years of childcare and preschool experiences; has over 17 years of working with children with special needs and developmental delays. In case it isn’t obvious by now, Anita loves working with children and their families.  For extra fun, Anita loves to play music; dance; play with her pets; meet new people, and travel. 

Sara Coles

Hello, my name is Sara Coles and I am one of the assistant teachers here at Little Steps New Beginnings. I have been here at Little Steps since 2009, I am certified in the required 45-hour training for all daycare establishments as well as CPR. I have always loved working with children of all ages, as an assistant teacher and it is my mission to bring a comfortable, loving and educational environment here at Little Steps. The children I work with every day all help me to improve to become a better teacher for them and other children in the future. Most of all, to be one of the most positive role models for them.

New Beginnings/Childcare/Preschool/Pre-K Program LLC will operate under the philosophy that ALL children are unique and that they are our future. The children have the right to be nurtured, recognized, and respected as individuals. With the right to be taught, to explore, to learn at their own pace, to use their imagination with a free spirit (without physically or mentally harming themselves or another individual). Lastly, every child has the right to resources and educational tools to provide the opportunity for success in all areas of development.​

New Beginnings/Childcare/Preschool/Pre-K Program LLC will also operate under the philosophy that EVERY family is unique. Those children view their primary caregiver as the center of their world. We STRONGLY encourage every family to participate with some of the Little Steps-New Beginnings/Childcare /Preschool/Pre-K Program LLC’s activities. Part of our functions for the parent will be for the parents to fill out our Annual Childcare Surveys. Filling out these surveys will help our childcare, our community, our staff, and to provide the highest standards of childcare services for your child better.

Our program will provide an environment that will help build trust and to establish collaborative partnerships and relationships. Our program supports a variety of services such as trips to the public library, history museum, family nights, show and tells, opportunities to share family cultural rituals, beliefs and values,  and access to reading materials.

Little Steps-New Beginnings/Childcare/Preschool/Pre-K Program LLC is a **5 star **program whose sole operation is to provide a loving and educational home away from home environment for children who need to be apart from their primary caregivers. We work with a variety of kids in different age ranges. We work with infants up until 12-year-olds. We provide care for children with special needs.

Pricing - Full time, Hourly, and Walk In Rates

Enrollment fee $85.00 (Due upon enrollment) Infant (no younger than 6 weeks) to 4 years old … $662.29 per month (full-time) 5 years – 8 years of age … $620.24 per month (full-time) 8 years – 12 years of age … $593.96 per month (full-time) Hourly Rate - $9.04

Walk-in Rate - $9.04 per hour/per child​

If you do not need full-time services, the monthly part-time care will be based on the family’s requested hours of childcare per week multiplied by the part-time hourly rate ($9.04 per hour).

Curriculum

We incorporate the preschool curriculum into our daily activities for fun and to prepare the older children for school. Each month we concentrate on a different theme. Specific units lend themselves to short field trips for fun and learning (ex: visit a fire station, post office, or police department when discussing helpers).

 Some field trips we will walk if it is close enough or we will use transportation. Each child traveling with us will, of course, need parental permission and will be placed and secured in the proper car seat, safety gear and safety belt according to age appropriateness procedures.

 Little Steps-New Beginnings is a part of an early learning program called FOCUS. We are currently working on our 5th star. 

FOCUS  is a preschool program with an emphasis on building social success for young children, ages 3-5, within a small group setting.

FOCUS allows us to provide a caring, responsive learning environment where children of all abilities learn through play and discovery. 

Teachers and support staff guide the child’s social-emotional and behavioral growth by using evidence-based positive behavior strategies and instruction.

With us being a part of FOCUS,  children will learn to:
