Marie-Josette Williams started Grace Daycare, LLC in 2019. She is a mother of three children, a Pastor of the American Missionary Church in Las Cruces, one of the youth pastors in all AMC Churches in North America and the Caribbean, and a devoted Christian and a teacher of the word of God. We raise children with good and God-loving principles and values in a warm, caring, and stimulating environment; these values have helped the school become what it is today.

Learning and development are emphasized at Grace Daycare, LLC. We keep little minds, hands, and bodies busy in many ways. We aim to help them feel independent, learn to be courteous to adults and other children, and be fascinated by the world around them.

When a child has a strong self-esteem and a lively curiosity as a result of a good home life and daycare experience, then he/she will be eager and able to take on the school challenges. Pre-reading, writing, English, and math skills are taught daily through appropriate activities. Our staff attend workshops and have been trained in an excellent pre-school curriculum.

CURRICULUM STATEMENT

We use age-appropriate activities with the children at Grace Daycare, LLC Playing plays a vital role in the development of children’s lives. We are always changing and updating our toys and equipment, as well as art supplies. The adults are play facilitators, providing an interesting room arrangement, a choice of centers, and enticing projects. We help guide children through appropriate interaction with others, courtesy, cooperation, and stress. Young children enjoy a routine because it makes them feel secure in knowing what to expect next. We also like to be flexible and spontaneous while following a general structure.

All the young age groups of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers have circle time, where we greet the children, play games, sing songs, and tell stories. We have an atmosphere where children are encouraged to speak up and discuss various subjects, thus using their language skills and developing self-confidence in a group setting. We have clearly defined play and learning centers, which are changed weekly. We have a large playground for wide-open outside play. Generally, we leave the door open so the children can freely flow inside and out with caregivers’ supervision.

At our school, we teach the concepts of math, social studies, and early literacy through our faith-play-based, child-led curriculum.
