Philosophy
Horizons After School Program focuses on providing a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children can learn, stay active, and build positive relationships. Our program combines academic support, STEM activities, sports, and creative play to support the whole child.
We believe in creating a balance between structure and fun. Students are encouraged to complete homework, develop social skills, and participate in activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and responsibility.
Our staff use positive guidance and consistent expectations to help children make good choices and feel supported. We strive to create a space where every child feels safe, included, and excited to be part of the program.
Location
Horizons After School Program is located at the Deming Methodist Church in a central and convenient area of Deming. Our location provides easy access for families and is close to local schools, making pickup and drop-off simple for parents.
The program operates in a spacious gym and classroom setting, allowing students to stay active and engaged through sports, games, and structured activities. Nearby community spaces and parks also provide opportunities for outdoor play and enrichment when appropriate.
