Philosophy

At NM Little Lobos Learning Center, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers where children have the opportunity to flourish in a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our program is built on a play-based philosophy, where we believe children learn best through purposeful play—doing, making, and solving problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with an environment that honors their unique skills and interests, they develop the trust and self-confidence needed to become lifelong learners.

We believe that magic happens when a child-centered curriculum holistically integrates a child’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, linguistic, self-help, and aesthetic domains. Our team of innovative educators creates a learning space driven by the ideas and curiosity of the children who inhabit it, fostering creativity and autonomy while celebrating every child’s unique differences. At NM Little Lobos, we are dedicated to providing the best care possible through inquiry and exploration, ensuring every child feels seen and valued in the heart of Albuquerque.

Location

NM Little Lobos Learning Center is conveniently located in the vibrant Wells Park and North Valley area, just a stone’s throw from the trendy Sawmill District. Our central location makes us an ideal choice for families living or working near Downtown Albuquerque or frequenting the Sawmill Market. Our center is situated on a quiet street that offers a peaceful environment for our children while remaining just minutes away from major commuter routes like I-40 and 4th Street.

Being part of this community means we are close to local favorites like Tiguex Park and Coronado Park, and within easy reach of the Albuquerque Museum and Old Town. Whether you are commuting to work Downtown, grabbing a coffee at the Sawmill Market, heading to classes at UNM or CNM, or you are a professional working near the I-40 corridor, our location provides the perfect balance of easy accessibility and a safe, tucked-away feel for your child’s daily adventures.

About our program

We are a 2-Star Quality center specializing in early childhood education. Little Lobo’s provides a stimulating, caring environment where hands-on learning builds social skills, emotional growth, and a love for school. We also provide transportation to and from select schools. Our non-contract rates are competitive and highly affordable. We accept Universal Care Contracts.

PLEASE REMEMBER that although I am open 24/7 Children are only allowed to come during the Parent/Guardians Work or School Pre-Scheduled hours, nothing more, and should follow the hours pre-approved on the ECECD contract. If Parent/Guardian is late to pick up child/ren they will be responsible to pay $1 a minute that they are over the pick up deadline for each child. If any questions please ask.
