Trisha McClain, Director As the Preschool Director at Cross of Hope Preschool, Mrs. McClain is passionate about creating a Christ-centered environment where children, families, and staff feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. She strives to lead with compassion, integrity, and a collaborative spirit, believing that strong relationships are at the heart of a thriving school community. With more than 24 years of experience in early childhood education, a Master’s Degree in Literacy and Reading, and experience as an instructional coach, LETRS instructor, and CLASS Observer, she is committed to helping young children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Most importantly, she is grateful for the opportunity to share God’s love and help children discover the unique gifts He has given them.

Amber Griffith, Preschool Teacher Ms. Amber is excited to be part of the Cross of Hope Preschool team and brings a calm, positive presence to the classroom each day. Known for being helpful, approachable, and easygoing, she enjoys building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. While she has a laid-back personality, she is a dedicated and hardworking educator who is committed to supporting each child’s growth and success. She loves helping children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences while sharing God’s love through kindness, encouragement, and daily interactions.

Lori Braunhardt, Preschool Teacher Ms. Lori has a heart for teaching and a deep passion for helping young children learn, grow, and thrive. She is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster a love of learning. She takes joy in forming strong relationships with her students, and, as a Christian educator, she is committed to sharing God’s love each day and helping children understand that they are uniquely created, cherished, and guided by Him.

Krissy Castillo, Preschool Teacher Ms. Krissy has two young children and spends her days loving on our youngest students. She is a valued member of the Cross of Hope Preschool team whose loving, cheerful, and friendly nature helps every child feel welcome and cared for. She enjoys creating a positive classroom environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence through play and exploration. Passionate about sharing God’s love, she strives to model kindness, patience, and compassion in her daily interactions with students and families. Her greatest joy is helping children discover that they are uniquely created and deeply loved by God.

Cross of Hope Preschool is a part of Cross of Hope Lutheran Church that resides in the Taylor Ranch Neighborhood. Conveniently located at Golf Course and Montano, we are an essential part of Albuquerque’s Westside.

Admisiones

We are committed to making our preschool program accessible and affordable for families. New Mexico now offers a universal childcare assistance program, which means preschool tuition at Cross of Hope can potentially be covered by the state for many families. In fact, all families with preschool-aged children are eligible to apply for this support.

This initiative may reduce or even eliminate your out-of-pocket preschool tuition costs (as state reimbursement becomes fully available). It’s a wonderful development that allows children to receive a high-quality Christian preschool education without financial barriers. We’re happy to help families navigate this program so as many children as possible can benefit from our preschool.
