Hi families! My name is Shelley Wallace, and I am the founder of Aunt Shelley’s Daycare Wonderschool. I was inspired to open my program when I had my son Alex. I have not looked back ever since!

My Professional Experience:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Nebraska Kearney
• Certified Teacher
• An accounting degree from SCC
• successful homeschool parent for 12+ years
• 30+ clock hours per year of courses in health, education, business, and at least one hour in nutrition yearly
• Aunt Shelley’s Daycare is accredited with the NAFCC and is a certified Nature Explorer Classroom
• member of the NAEYC and NAFCC. Former NAFCC regional director for the state of Nebraska. I also participate in Rooted in Relationships and the SUTQ program.

Aunt Shelley’s Wonderschool will provide a loving environment that is consistent, healthy, and safe that encourages your child (ren) to grow emotionally, physically, socially, and cognitively. I believe that each child is unique and special.  Every consideration will be given to ensure that your child excels in our program. Additionally, we believe in the relationship between the parents and the provider.  We strive to create an environment in which the parent and staff work together to prepare your child for any challenges ahead.

Aunt Shelley’s Daycare Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, inviting single family home in the Holmes Lake neighborhood. Children will spend most of the day outdoors in our outdoor space. We are a certified Nature Explorer Classroom. We believe that connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth. I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
