Hi! I’m Ms Jessie. I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. I received my Associate in Arts from Cape Fear Community College, as well as my NC Early Childhood Credentials. I earned my NC Early Childhood Administration Credentials from Stanly Community College. I recently completed a certificate program in Montessori at the Early Childhood Level, from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. After teaching multiple preschool age groups, and assistant directing a licenced childcare facility, I assisted in the establishment and running of a 4 star, licensed, art and play-based childcare program in Hampstead for 2 years as the director. My hope is to use my knowledge and experience to make Sunshine Playschool a magical encounter for every family who enters our gate!
Filosofía
Our program is a gently-structured, half-day, mostly outdoor program. We focus on nature play, fine and gross motor skill development, taking care of our planet, socializing with peers, and some letter and number recognition, in a small, nurturing, individualized environment.
Ubicación
We are an in-home program in a residential area. Although we will spend most of our time outdoors, we do have an indoor space as well for days when there is unsafe weather. We are located on Country Club Dr near Kiwanis Park.
