Hi, I’m Toriana! I have owned and ran My Home Away from Home Childcare since 2009 from my home. I live with my husband Stacy and our two children Mathias and Manasseh on about 1 acre just off Ramsey Street. We love the opportunity to share our home and childcare program with the families and children I work with!

I always had a passion for working with young children. As the fifth oldest of ten siblings, I started helping to care for my younger siblings at a very young age. This developed into local babysitting opportunities when I was 10 years old. Parents felt very comfortable having me care for their children because of my experience with my own family.

I am grateful to be able to work with children on a daily basis and fulfill my passion. I know the importance of this role and give 100% effort into every day in my childcare program.

I know what an honor it is to be entrusted with the safety and well-being of your most priceless treasures – your children. Thank you!

The aim of My Home Away From Home is to help the children become contributing members of society in order to achieve academic success and to help in the area of social, emotional, and intellectual development. The programs allow children to learn in a natural environment which provide safe and orderly environment.

Home Away From Home Childcare is a play-based, in-home program for up to 8 children at any given time from 0 to 12 years old. Home Away From Home focuses on empowering kids to learn though independent and creative play opportunities. With a small program ratio, I am able to nurture and work with kids in small groups and 1:1 to participate in age appropriate activities and learning opportunities. I love working with children and that love shows every day in the care I provide!
