Our Teachers

With over 20 years of experience working with children, my journey in childcare has been both personal and purposeful. I began my career in the school system, where I spent 7 years working with children of all ages. During that time, I gained valuable hands-on experience and a deep understanding of child development. However, I also saw firsthand the gaps in care and the lack of attention many children in our community were receiving.

That realization stayed with me. I knew I wanted to make a difference, to create a space where children felt seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. That passion led me to step away from the traditional school system and open my own daycare.

For the past 15 years, I have proudly owned and operated my daycare, building a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. My goal has always been to provide not just supervision, but meaningful care that supports each child’s emotional, social, and educational development.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, which allows me to combine professional knowledge with real-life experience to give children the strong foundation they deserve. Every child in my care is treated with patience, love, and intentional guidance, because I believe those early years truly shape their future.

At Growing Footprints, we are more than a daycare, we are a place where little steps lead to bright futures.

Testimonials

As a first-time mom, leaving my 1 year old anywhere was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But choosing Growing Footprints was the best decision. From the very first day, I felt the love, patience, and genuine care. My daughter absolutely lights up when we pull up each morning!!

Philosophy

At Growing Footprints, we believe that children learn best through play. Our program is built around a play-based philosophy, where curiosity, creativity, and hands-on experiences guide each child’s development. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum, we create a structured yet flexible environment where children can explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. Through purposeful play, children build important skills in language, social interaction, problem-solving, and independence, all while having fun. Our daily activities are thoughtfully designed to support early learning in a natural way. From imaginative play and sensory activities to story time and outdoor exploration, every moment is an opportunity for growth. We focus on the whole child, emotionally, socially, and academically, because we know those early years lay the foundation for lifelong learning. At the heart of our program are strong values: patience, consistency, love, and respect. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and every family feels supported. At Growing Footprints, learning doesn’t feel like work, it feels like play, and that’s where the magic happens.

Location

Growing Footprints is conveniently located right between Elizabethtown and White Lake on Highway 701, in a quiet and peaceful setting. Our location provides a calm, safe environment where children can learn, play, and grow comfortably.

About our program

At Growing Footprints, we combine traditional childcare with a modern, hands-on approach. As a family-operated daycare, we truly care for every child and treat them like our own.

We provide engaging activities, regular field trips, and early learning experiences to help prepare children for kindergarten. We also introduce basic Spanish and offer sensory-based activities to support development.

We support children of all abilities, including those with autism (please ask about our assistance options.)

Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
