Hello! I’m Danithza Baker, founder and lead educator of Spanish Montessori Preschool. Originally from Peru, I am passionate about helping children grow and thrive in nurturing, bilingual environments. I hold degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education, along with master’s degrees in Teaching Spanish and Early Intervention. I also hold a North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential (Level III) and an AMI Montessori Administrator Certificate. I have taught in both public and private schools in North Carolina and have many years of experience working with young children and families. For over a decade, I operated a licensed, 5-star Spanish immersion family child care program and currently teach Early Childhood Development at the college level. My work is guided by Montessori principles, combining hands-on learning with Spanish immersion to support each child’s independence, confidence, and love of learning. I am committed to educating the whole child in a warm, safe, and engaging environment.

At Spanish Montessori Preschool, our journey began with a simple vision: to create a nurturing, bilingual environment where children feel at home while developing a lifelong love for learning. We believe that every child is naturally curious, capable, and deserving of respect.
Our program is rooted in the Montessori philosophy, offering a carefully prepared environment where children learn through hands-on experiences, independence, and purposeful work. What makes us unique is our Spanish immersion approach, where language is acquired naturally through daily interactions, music, and meaningful activities.
We are committed to supporting the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—while fostering values such as respect, empathy, and responsibility. Our goal is to guide each child to reach their full potential in a warm, peaceful, and inspiring community.
