Rena Henderson, Director

Rena graduated from Jackson State University in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. In 2014 from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education Early Childhood and a Bachelor in Child Development from Alcorn State University in 2012. My personal background involves a strong foundation in education and child development. I’ve worked with children of various ages and backgrounds, both in formal educational settings and informal learning environments. My approach to teaching children involves creating a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued and empowered to explore their interests and abilities. I believe in fostering a love for learning by making lessons engaging, relevant, and interactive, while also promoting critical thinking skills and fostering social-emotional growth. Additionally, I stay updated on the latest research and best practices in education to continuously improve my teaching methods and better support the children in my care.
